Afterschool Program Now Enrolling

After a lot of soul searching over this past weekend, I decided to keep offering my afterschool program in the Socastee Community. It is no secret that with today's economy many businesses are suffering. Child care is one of those fields that suffer. Many parents are out of work and are now staying home with the children while their spouses work. Therefore child care is not needed.

However, I have been offering my service in Socastee for 15 years now and realized that it is important to try to stick it out. I find myself really busy with the other services my business offers. Traveling every weekend offering childcare for conventions, weddings, etc. But Afterschool Adventure has been a staple in the Socastee Community for so long and has such a loyal following that it deserves a chance to continue to flourish.

Please help us out by spreading the word. We have a wonderful program, and care for and love the children very much.

We are open each day until 6pm, we are also open on school holidays and in the summer. We offer a daily snack, homework assistance, arts, crafts, games, etc.

$40 per week or $10 per day. You only pay if your child attends. Stop by and check us out at 4050 Socastee Blvd. in the Socastee Commons.

The last few months have been like a whirlwind. Busy every weekend with events all over the US. But today we are off and what a perfect day to be off. As a mother I appreciate being able to spend the day with my family. I did want to take the time to wish everyone a Happys Mothers Day. Especially those mothers that are away from their children today but are fighting for the freedoms of mine. And also all the Mothers that work for me every weekend providing child care. I know its hard to be away from from our families so much but days like today help us keep it going. And besides someone has to pay the bills, lol. Happy Mothers Day everyone.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I was so thankful to hear from 2 Chaplains that we have worked with in the past. They both have been deployed but are back home safe and in time for the holidays. My prayers are with those still fighting for our freedoms.

The upcoming year looks as busy as ever. Events are booked all over the US. I am excited to possibly have one in Nashville, TN as it is a new city for me.

Whirlwinds Weekends

Sorry I have not written in awhile. We have been traveling so much that sometimes I forget what city I am in. Last weekend we were in Williamsburg, Va then ended the weekend in Columbia, SC. This weekend we had crews in Charlotte, NC, Kingsport, TN and Hilton Head, SC.

We look forward to this weekend in Columbia, SC and Asheville, NC. But we are most looking forward to the coming holiday and celebrating Christmas with our families.

We are thankful for all the troops that are home now to be with their families and pray that the ones still in harms way will be safe and be home soon.

Afterschool Location #2

Afterschool Adventure will be opening a second location in Conway. This location will have bus service from Pee Dee Elementary. Other schools are welcome, however parents will have to transport the children.

We will be open from 2:30 to 6:00 each school day.

We will provide snack, homework assistance and LOTS of fun, games, and crafts.

We are hoping to be open by the end of November.

We will also offer services during the Christmas Break.

On those days we will be open 7am to 6pm if we have enough students sign up.

Columbia Visit

Tomorrow I will be traveling to our state capital Columbia for a meeting. As a new member of the Association of the United States Army this will be my first meeting. I am hoping to meet many people from the industry and network for my service.

Afterschool Adventure has been providing child care for military events for going on 5 years. It has allowed us to travel all over the US and meet some fascinating people.

While in Columbia I plan to stop by our State House and visit all my friends from the Southern Legislative Conference. We provided child care for their event this past summer. The event took 4 months of preparation in which I met many lifelong friends. I hope to see them all tomorrow:)

Pray for my safe travels as I work to expand Afterschool Adventure's horizon's.

Washington DC here we come

We will be traveling to Washington DC soon to provide child care for an event. This will be our 3rd trip there for child care. However, this time we have our entire Saturday off for sight seeing. Tell us some of your favorite places to visit.
